A Restorative Yoga practice leaves us nourished and well rested.

Restorative Yoga: These soothing and well supported restorative poses offer us the opportunity to linger quietly and savour the simple sweetness of life. The poses are supported with props such as bolsters, blocks and blankets and held for a period of time. The Restorative sequence is designed to move the spine in all directions. Some of the restorative poses are backbends, while others are forward bends. Additional poses gently twist the spinal column both left and right.

During deep relaxation the organ systems of the body benefit. The nervous system begins to restore. If you need restful Yoga for stressful times or you need to restore your prana (energy) or you are going through any physical or emotional changes in your life or simply prefer a restful Yoga consider a Restorative class.

Mindful Yoga: Awareness as we move through the practice of body alignment, natural posture, our emotional state and our breathing patterns. All practices begin with a short silent meditation and complete with either Yoga Nidra or Silent Savasana – rest. An optional short tea ritual – to bring us back to earth- is offered at the end of all class.

Yoga Nidra:  Yoga Nidra is a deeply nourishing practice designed to move you into a profound state or relaxation and self realisation.  It is simple to learn and easy to practice.

Private Restorative Yoga Sessions: 

The nurturing private restorative yoga class is extremely beneficial for stressful times or if you need to restore your prana (energy) or you are going through any physical or emotional changes in your life or simply prefer a restful Yoga .  A sequence of three supported poses are chosen  for you. Classes include 20min Yoga Nidra Meditation.
